Sir Ashley Fox, the Member of Parliament for Bridgwater, has Awarded Rose Stacey MP HERo status. Rose Stacey runs Bridgwater based business, Timeless Images.
MP HERoes celebrates women business owners, linking each MP with a successful woman business owner in their constituency. Highlighting successful founders and women in business from every sector and from every part of the UK, championed by their local MP.
A cross-party national initiative created by innovative think tank Savvitas, established in partnership with NatWest. The MP HERoes are not only role models for business, they have a positive impact on society too. Leading the way for other women and encouraging more women across the UK to start or grow a business.
The MP HERoes came to Parliament on Wednesday 20th November during Global Entrepreneurship Week to collect her Award. Rose Stacey joined a roundtable discussion and networking reception with other MP HERoes and met her MP.
Ashley Fox said, "I was pleased to nominate Rose for this award celebrating women in business. She has built a successful business with Timeless Images and made a significant contribution to the wider business community through her work with the Bridgwater Town Team, Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce, and the annual Snowflakes Christmas event."
About HERoes
HERoes encourages, celebrates, and supports women’s enterprise in every area of the UK. It highlights female entrepreneurship throughout the country and across all sectors and industries. Now in its third year, MP HERoes (MPH) has established a strong peer group of business women. With year-round activities, from meetings at Westminster, to regional and local events, supported by regular online workshops. MP HERoes is a Savvitas programme in Partnership with NatWest and is supported by the Women & Enterprise All-Party Parliamentary Group.
MP HERoes is creating a pool of high-profile champions in each local area, and an interactive peer group which celebrates, empowers and supports women business owners.
Helene Martin Gee, Savvitas founder, Parliamentary Adviser and creator of the programme says: ”We’re seeing encouraging growth in female enterprise and it’s great that MPs are supporting the award as recognition of the valuable contribution women-led businesses make to the economy and to their local community. As Savvitas collaborates with NatWest and others to promote and support female enterprise, I hope we’ll see many more women choosing entrepreneurship.”
Yvonne Greeves, Director of Women in Business, NatWest Group Says: “It’s great to be working with MPs and with Savvitas to champion women business owners as MP HERoes, we’re also supporting the women entrepreneurs by running workshops on how they can take their businesses to the next level, based on material we teach to entrepreneurs in the 14 NatWest Accelerator Hubs nationwide”.
